Allison was born in Dover, Delaware. She attended Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on a tennis scholarship where she earned a degree in Marketing. Following graduation, Allison continued her education at the Villanova University School of Law where she earned her Juris Doctorate in 2004.

In search of paradise, Allison relocated to San Diego after finishing law school.
